Neptunus won and lost on the same day

Curaçao Neptunus played two matches against L&D Amsterdam Pirates, then against Hoofddorp Pioniers.
Initially two 7-inning games were scheduled. In the first game against Pirates, the score was 2-2 after six innings. However, Pirates Head Coach Charles Urbanus wanted to give his team an opportunity to show their potential in the additional inning. As Neptunus already had a game played on Saturday and had another scheduled later in the afternoon, additional inning was impossible. However, after certain negotiations it was decided to conduct the seventh additional inning. As a result, Neptunus scored a run to win 3-2.
Later in the day, Neptunus ended up short against Pioniers and lost 6-1 in a game that lasted eight innings. Shurman Marlin had a great day for Pioniers. He batted 3-for-4, being two doubles and a homerun.
