“Challengers” team has played two friendly matches on the weekend. This event has opened the baseball season 2017.The first game against “Zurich Lions” has taken place on “Heerenschurli” stadium in Zurich. “Challengers” has gone out onto the baseball field without regular players from the first club team. It is because the athletes have already gone to Italy to play one more training game with “S.S.D. Baseball Novara”. Therefore, the team was created from players of the National Team and from the team of the first Swiss League. The athletes have managed to win with the score 12-9. Patrik Zolling was distinguished by his grand slam.
The team has played with “S.S. D Baseball Novara” the next day. Due to a bad weather conditions the game was held with a delay for a few hours. “Challengers” has shown great game in defense from the beginning of the game. The baseball player from” Novara” has made triple and double RBI in the second half of the eighth inning. Thus, the team has won with the score 6-1.
