On Saturday, March 24
the entire executive board of the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association
(KNBSB) led by KNBSB President Ron Schel stepped down immediately following a
council meeting.
During the meeting a
surprise financial deficit in 2017 was discussed. Apparently the proposed
measures were deemed inadequate by the council and then the board decided to
step down.
An interim board led
by former KNBSB President Ruud van Zetten will lead the federation until a new
board gets elected.
