Unipol Bologna defeated Parmaclima 4-3 in a thrilling
game four of the Italian Championship Series to prevail 3-1 in the best-of-five
set.
Parma erased a 1-3 deficit in the bottom of the ninth
inning, but fell 3-4 after 11 innings. Giuseppe Mazzanti drove in the game
winner with a RBI single in the second extra inning. Murilo Brolo picked up the
win in relief. Osman Marval, Robel Garcia and Luca Scalera all homered in the
game. Bologna won games one and two of the series 14-1 and 10-3, Parma prevailed
9-1 in game three.
