Ireland and Ukraine have won the European
Championships C-Pool, which had been held in Ashbourne, Ireland and
Kropyvnytskyi, Ukraine from July 23 to 28. By winning the two tournaments both
teams have been qualified to participate in the European Championships B-Pool
in 2019. Additionally, Greece has been qualified for the European Championship
B-Pool in 2019 as well. They finish in second place in Ashbourne and based on
their preliminary round record of 3-1, prevailed over second-place finisher
Romania (2-2 record at Kropyvnytskyi).
Previous countries qualified for the European
Championship B-Pool were Israel, Switzerland, Serbia, Bulgaria, Lithuania,
Russia, Slovakia, Belarus and Poland.
