Lee County Sports Development has joined a pilot program with USA Softball, the World Baseball Softball Confederation and the European Softball Federation to provide opportunities for European players and coaches. The program will give opportunity to hone baseball skills and help to prepare better for competitive play including the Olympics. This program is getting a good workout.
Baseball academy of the Czech Republic sent 17 players who are 12 years old. They are headed by 9 adults for participation in the Lee County Program. They will have a week long training camp and competition. Lee County has hosted softball and baseball tournaments that are visited by athletes of different age.
