There are currently 6 teams in the Bulgarian Baseball League. Only one
team imported players in 2013, which was the Sofia Blues. Players looking to
play baseball in Bulgaria may be able to get picked up if they are willing to
pay their own flight. Housing would be provided in this case.
Bulgaria is considered the most affordable place to live in the EU and
is one of the few exotic nations of Europe with many white sand beaches.
The Bulgaria national baseball team is the national baseball team of
Bulgaria. The team represents Bulgaria in all international competitions. The
team has several players that play in the United States MLB. Their best
performance came when reaching the quarter final stage in the 2006 European
Championships along with getting third place at the 2009 Junior European
Championships.
