In the Dutch Hoofdklasse three games were on the schedule. De Glaskoning Twins stunned the Hoofddorp Pioniers with a 2-1 win.
A walk by Bram Grooten in the bottom of the ninth ended the contest in walk-off style.
In the other games the favorites celebrated lopsided wins. Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam prevailed 11-1 over DSS. Daniel Fernandes, Ruar Verkerk and Gregory Muller combined for six RBI. Diegomar Markwell pitched six innings for the win.
L&D Amsterdam meanwhile beat Pickles UVV 9-0. Amsterdam took a quick 3-0 lead after three innings and added six runs in the eighth. Rob Cordemans and Danny Rombley led the team to victory.
