The Sölvesborg Firehawks had a bye in the first two weeks of the 2017 season in the Swedish Elitserien.
On Saturday they entered the competition with a sweep against the Swedish Baseball Academy. They prevailed 4-3 and 11-7. Game one was decided in extra innings with Sölvesborg scoring the game-winner in the tenth. Rafael Torres had three hits and two RBI. In game two Sölvesborg scored nine runs in the first three frames and win the game. Kim Hällsten collected three hits and four RBI.
