Recently the II International Baseball Tournament among cadets “Brest Spring-2017″ was held in Brest. This year the championship gathered nine teams from Russia, Lithuania and Belarus. Matches of the II International Baseball Tournament “Brest Spring-2017″ took place at the city baseball stadiums.
The tournament was organized with the support of the Brest Regional Executive Committee and the City Executive Committee, the Representative Office of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus in the Brest region, baseball-softball club “Brest Zubrs”.
More than 150 young baseball players challenged the title of the best team and fought for the main prize of the competition – the Cup of “Brest Spring-2017″, established by the Brest City Executive Committee. In the past 22 baseball matches, athletes showed their skills and will to win. The whole pedestal was occupied by the Russian athletes: the winner of the tournament was the “Moscow team-1″, silver medals were won by the “Moscow team-2″, bronze medals were awarded to “Tigers” SDYUSSHOR Balashikha. The hosts of the tournament “Brest Zubrs” took the 4th place.
The Brest City Executive Committee has established four special prizes. The awards were given to:
“The best pitcher” – Demidov Pavel (“Moscow team – 1″)
“The best striker” – Volkov Dmitry (“Moscow team – 2″)
“The best defender” – Shchegochikhin Nikita (“Tigers” SDYUSSHOR Balashikha)
“The best player MVP” – Bobkin Ivan (“Moscow team – 1″)

In each team, the “Best Team Players” and “Most Useful Team Players” were identified and awarded with diplomas and memorable cups.
