Austria has clinched first place in the preliminary
round of the European Championship B-Pool in Belgrade, Serbia with one day to
go.
On Thursday the Austrian squad downed Serbia 14-4 in
eight innings to improve to 4-0.
Three teams follow with 2-2 record with Israel, Serbia
and Switzerland. Israel lost to Greece 1-2, as the Greek team celebrated their
first win. Bulgaria then stunned the Swiss squad with a 12-9 victory.
