At the Federations Cup 2017 in Valencia, Spain the Astros Valencia and the Borgerhout Squirrels have reached the final.
The winner will clinch a spot for their national federation in the CEB Cup in 2018.
On day five of the competition in Valencia the Astros improved to 5-0 with a 16-1 rout against the Deurne Spartans. The Squirrels downed the Leksand Lumberjacks 11-1. The Athletics Attnang-Puchheim claimed their first victory with a 12-2 win over the Buffaloes Blagoevgrad.
Leksand, Attnang-Puchheim and Blagoevgrad finished 4th, 5th and 6th in the tournament and therefore their federation will lose a spot in the Federations Cup. Austria however is lucky, as they will gain a spot after the Diving Ducks Wiener Neustadt won the Federations Cup Qualifier in Belgrade, Serbia.
