Lincoln Saltdogs release Dutch outfielder Chris Garia

The independent league club Lincoln Saltdogs has released Dutch outfielder Chris Garia. The 24-year-old Garia played for the Vaessen Pioniers in the Dutch Hoofdklasse last year.But he signed with Lincoln this past offseason. His Netherlands national teammates Dashenko Ricardo, Randolph Oduber and Curt Smith are still playing for the Saltdogs in the American Association. Between 2009 and 2016 he was part of the Texas Rangers organization, but didn’t make it to the big leagues.
