The Diving Ducks Wiener Neustadt and the host Beograd 96
have reached the final at the Federations Cup Qualifier in Belgrade, Serbia.
The Diving Ducks improved to 4-0 in the first round with
a 13-10 win over Athletic Sofia. The Diving Ducks scored five runs apiece in
the second and the seventh en route to the win. Sofia answered with five runs
in the eighth, but wasn’t able to tie the contest.
Beograd edged out the Southampton Mustangs 11-10. Beograd
scored six times in the third and five runs in the sixth for an 11-4 lead.
Southampton added six runs in the eighth to make it interesting. But in the
last frame the Mustangs didn’t deliver.
