The Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) and the International Sports Group continue their partnership in the development of coaches at the grass roots level.
This special program administered by top CEB/ISG coaches will help get more players to play the game and keep them playing it longer. By training coaches in the proper fundamentals of the game and how to implement those fundamentals in a fun organized practice, it will help tremendously in the development of players at the grass roots level.
Bulgarian Baseball had 25 coaches attend the course operated by CEB Instructor former Croatian National Team player/Coach Branko Nenadic and ISG instructor and former USA Baseball National Team Coach Peter Caliendo. The course was over 21 hours of on field work with coaches doing drills, implementing them and a final test. It covered all fundamental topics, plus practice organization, sports psychology, having real fun when practicing so kids learn faster, and so much more. The course was for coaches at the grassroots level from Bulgaria.
“Bulgarian baseball is dedicated and understands the development of coaches working with young kids. If coaches are good at the above areas then they can go out and recruit young players from the schools. Bulgarian baseball is on the right track by hosting a CEB/ISG coach’s course. The country has some mentally tough players and coaches who really want to help develop baseball in their country”, – Peter M. Caliendo, VP International Sports Group.
