The playoffs in the Dutch Hoofdklasse continued with
two more games in the round robin semifinals.
L&A Amsterdam shut out the Hoofddorp Pioniers 12-0
in seven easy innings, allowing just three hits. Danny Rombley drove in six,
while Gilmer Lampe scored four times. Chris Pfau got charged with the loss.
Curacao Neptunus scored three early runs and then held
on to a 3-2 win over HCAW in Bussum. Cancer survivor Orlando Yntema threw six
solid innings for the win. Kaj Timmermans, who won the U23 European
Championship with the Netherlands last week, took the loss.
