16 teams participated in the U23 European Championship which were hold in Brno, Blasko (Czech Republic), Wales (Austria) and Trnava (Slovakia) from 7 to 13 August.
The Ukrainian National Team played in group “D” with the National Teams of Belgium, Czech Republic and Lithuania. According to the results of the group stage, the Ukrainian team has won the 3rd place. The National Team of Ukraine continued their fight for the 9-12 places with the National Teams of Russian, Poland and Slovakia which also took the 3rd places in their groups. The Ukrainians ranked 9th place with their victory in all matches.
The National Team of the Netherlands won over Czech Republic in final match with the score 10-9 having played 10 innings. As a result, the Netherlands became the winner of the tournament.
