The Minnesota Twins have released Dutch right-handed
pitcher Matz Schütte. The 19-year-old played three season in affiliated minor
league ball, all three in the Gulf Coast League.
This year he made six appearances before seeing his
contract getting terminated. Overall he had an ERA of 4.11 in 33 games with 36
strikeouts and 23 walks in 61 1/3 innings. The past two winters he also was
part of Team Europe during the Asia Winter League.
